If you knew where you were headed would you change your direction? Being a working artist and traveling as much as I do there is always a sense of the unknown. Some trips are awesome, some not so much. I leave next week for my spring tour. I'm excited for the possibilities. I've been home for about a month and I'm starting to get restless!
I'm doing 5 shows in Texas, Oklahoma and Arizona. First stop is Lubbock, Texas for the Lubbock Arts Festival, April 22 & 23rd. I've been doing this show for several years and always enjoy the town and the people. Its in an old part of town that has a growing art scene.
Second stop Dallas, Texas for Artscape at the Arboretum, April 29 & 30.This will be my first time and am looking forward to it. I have been told that the gardens are breath taking! Sounds good to me.
The last show in Texas will the Celebration of the Arts in Midland, May 5 thru 7. I'm hoping the weather gods will be kind to us on this trip......We will have some time for kayaking and motorcycle riding in between shows so I'm hoping for sunny skies and perfect weather.
I have been meaning to get back to Oklahoma for a few years now. This year is it! I'm headed to the Tulsa Mayfest, May 17 - 21 in downtown Tulsa. Over 200 artists and musicians. Sounds like a party to me. I will be in the juried artist market so if you happen to be in Oklahoma that weekend come see me!
Last stop will be Oklahoma City for the Paseo Arts District, Art Fair, May 27,28 & 29. I was on the wait list and just found out they have a space for me!!! Woo Hoo!
So there it is. For more information on any of these shows please go to my schedule page. I've listed dates, times and websites. Also be sure to check out my shop on ginnywolfstudio.com for these pieces and many more. Better yet come out and see me in person!
I'll leave you with one of my favorite Lubbock musicians. Joe Ely ~ Gallo Del Cielo
Take care out there in that crazy world and know that you are loved!
