Respect
I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naïve or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman. ~ Anais Nin

Respect ~ a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements
These blog posts that I share now and then are reflections of what is on my mind. Lately the fact that all these men are being outed for there bad behavior is weighing heavy on my mind. Its nothing new or surprising. Its been happening since the beginning of time.
So how does this relate to what I do? Women. My business has always been more than adorning women on the outside. I have always wanted to make women feel good about themselves inside and out. To empower women in some small way.

.I wont go into my feelings towards the men who treat women with such disrespect. That's not why I am bringing this subject up. I would like to take the time to tell the women who support my work and also the men who cherish the women in there lives how much I appreciate them. How amazingly beautiful you are, inside and out.

You are goddesses, warriors, mothers and lovers. You deserve all things good in your life. This is what I see in all of you. I am honored to have you all in my life. I wish with all my heart that women can live without fear and self doubt. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone could live up to there full potential.

So what can we do to make things better? Love one another, respect one another. Set boundries for yourself. Teach your children about respect and boundries.
Here's the really hard one. Forgive. My life's lesson is compassion. This is alot harder to do than you imagine. Its easy to forgive and have compassion for nice people. Its really hard when your angry. I once asked a friend who practiced Buddhism how to have compassion for someone you can't stand. He told me that I didnt have to like them to have compassion for them. It's true! Its not easy but it's true!
There is a quote out there that I love. Transcend the bullshit. It speaks volumes. By setting boundries, respecting each other and yes forgiving each other we can transcend the bullshit and be the best people we can be.

A feminist is anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men.~ Gloria Steinem
Alright, Ill get off my soapbox! Blessing to all you beauties out there! Thanks for letting me rant!
