Wild Women

Wild women are an unexplainable spark of life. They ooze freedom and seek awareness, they belong to nobody but themselves yet give a piece of who they are to everyone they meet. If you have met one, hold on to her, she'll allow you into her chaos but she'll also show you her magic. ~ Nikki Rowe

A few weeks back I came across this magazine. Ravenous Zine. Its wonderful and inspiring. For more info you can go to ~ www.ravenous-craft.com/zine

Welcome to Ravenous Zine, a home and platform for women and femme-identifyingbpeople to connect with the wild within and, in turn, build a community of support with other wild women.

Consider Ravenous Zine a knowledge-base for women like you finding your inner call to natutre. A resource for starting your own wolfpack of fellow wild womwn who hunger to connect in pesron. A guide for developing your own creative and intuitive prowness, and a manifesto for taking an active part in shaping the culture of female fierceness, awareness and assertiveness.~ Mallory Lance

Its always such a treat to find unexpected inspiration. Being a wild woman myself its always good to meet like minded souls. You know who you are out there!

So what is a wild woman anyway? I can only answer for myself. She is someone who is not afraid to be different than the norm. Strong in her own beliefs. Relates to the natural world in a very passionate way.

You can love her with everything you have and she still wont belong to you. She will run wild with you, beside you with everystep but let me tell you something about women who run with wolves, their fierce hearts dont settle between walls and their instinct is stronger than upbringing. Love her wild or leave her there.~ Nikki Rowe

I am not delicate. I am skinny dipping at 2am; I am dancing naked under the full moon and playing in the mud. I am the reverberating echoes of a curse word ricocheting off the steeply sloping mountain you thought I couldn’t climb; I am bare skin in the deepest depths of winter; I am the song of courage, and the melody of freedom you long to sing. I am a fearless mother. I am a passionate lover; a devoted friend. I am the healer, the witch, the nurturing of your wounds. I am the heat of a wildfire, the rage of a storm. I am strong. Delicate things are pretty-cute, even. But I am not delicate. I am wild, fierce and unpredictable. I am breathtaking. I am beautiful. I am sacred.~ Brooke Hampton

If you have yet to be called an incorrigable, defiant woman, don't worry, there is still time.~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes

I once dreamt I was telling stories and felt someone patting my foot in encouragement. I looked down and saw that I was standing on the shoulders of an older woman who was steadying my ankles and smiling up at me. I said to her, "no no come stand on my shoulders, For you are old and I am Young." "No no" she insisted, "this is the way it is supposed to be." I saw that she stood on the shoulders of a woman far older than she, who stood on the shoulders of a woman even older, who stood on the shoulders of a woman in robes, who stood on the shoulders of another soul, who stood on the shoulders...Clarissa Pinkola Estes

The other inspiring thing I came across the other day was a documenary about Krishna Das. He shares his kirtan practice with the world.

Kirtan (Sanskrit: कीर्तन; IAST: Kīrtana) is a Sanskrit word that means "narrating, reciting, telling, describing" of an idea or story. It also refers to a genre of religious performance arts, connoting a musical form of narration or shared recitation, particularly of spiritual or religious ideas.

Its a blessing to find these types of inspirations. One of the good things about the internet. The music, inspiring stories help me to tap into that creative part of my brain. I am very grateful.

Thank you for indulging me in these random thoughts. If you like any of the pieces on this post please go to my shop on www.ginnywolfstudio.com. Have a great week. Namaste.
