Snow

It's been snowing all day today. That gentle soft snow. You can almost hear the earth sigh.

I love the smell of snow, that crunch it makes when your walking, The beauty that brings tears to my eyes when you see the trees covered in snow like frosting. I didn't realize how much I missed winter. Its a time to contemplate, slow down, just be. In the words of Ram Das "Be here now."

Besides taking long walks in the snow with Andy & Bella I have been busy as well! I have two new opportunities coming up to tell everyone about.

The first is Saloon No. 10 in Deadwood has invited me to be there resident artist for the season. I will be set up with all of my jewelry, hats and leather in the mercantile, Thursday - Saturday to start.

For more than a century, the Legendary Old Style Saloon No. 10 has defined the historic town of Deadwood. Thousands of artifacts and antiques grace the walls and ceiling. The faces of history live in hundreds of historical photographs of Deadwood’s most famous and infamous characters. It remains the “go to” experience for locals and visitors alike to step back into Deadwood's colorful past. ~ www.saloon10.com

Needless to say I am very honored and excited to be a part of this historic and very cool saloon!

I will still have a studio at Cheyenne Crossing from May until October. I get the best of both worlds. Deadwood in the winter and Cheyenne Crossing in the summer!

Now it just keeps getting better! I have been invited to show at the Scott Jacobs Gallery in Deadwood for their First Friday event December 7.

Widely celebrated artist, Scott Jacobs has arrived into the mainstream of American fine art culture from his roots as Harley-Davidson’s first officially licensed motorcycle artist. Scott’s latest addition to the Jacobs Gallery is an exclusive selection of apparel and merchandise from the new gallery in Deadwood, South Dakota. ~ www.jacobsgalleryshop.com

This is a beautiful gallery on Main Street in Deadwood. The event starts at 6:00 pm and lasts til 8:00 pm. Come down and see Scott's beautiful artwork and do some holiday shopping. I'll have lots of beautiful new jewelry for that special person in your life.

If you can't make it up to the Black Hills this season please be sure to check out my shop on www.ginnywolfstudio.com.

I keep posting new work each week.

I've been on a old country music kick today. Ill share one of my favorites before I go. Dwight Yoakam.

One more from Merle Haggard. Mama Tried.

Have a great week !
