It seems that spring is here.......for today anyway. I made it thru my first South Dakota winter. It was long but beautiful none the less.
Around about January I realized that the studio wasn't going to bring in enough income. I went and spoke with my friend David in the restaurant. Asked him for some work, I'll even wash dishes, I said. Out Loud. He got a big smile on his face and guess what I did all winter. I have to say it wasn't bad.
What made it great actually were the people I worked with. They made me feel like a family member. We laughed more than I have in a long time. I want to thank everyone at Cheyenne Crossing for making me feel welcome all winter. You are officially part of my extended family!
The physical work was great as well. It's been a long time since I have worked in a kitchen. Restaurant people work very hard. Remember that next time you go out. Tell the hostess ,cooks,waitstaff and especially the dishwasher thank you for all the hard work.
Spring is here now, business is picking up and I'm back out in the studio full time. I miss my friends in the kitchen, although I won't be back in there anytime soon......
The hills are starting to wake up. Its amazing how quickly things change in the mountains. The critters are out.The sound of motorcycles are in the canyon. Everyone is in a good mood. Thawing out.
My studio is jam packed with all kinds of goodness! Overflowing.

I will be closed at the studio on May 19th. Im setting up in Deadwood for Deadwood Custom Cycles 1st annual Spring Fling. There will be food, a BBQ, music and me! Come on out ! Ill have all my jewelry, vintage hats and new leather garments. I've been working like crazy all winter so cant wait to show off all the new work!
