Admiral Beeswing

Well hello there. Its been awhile since I've done a post. What's that old John Lennon saying, Life is what happens while your making plans....

After much consideration this past winter Andy & I decided to buy a motor coach and take to the roads this winter. Introducing Admiral Beeswing. Yes I always name my vehicles... Named after one of my favorite Richard Thompson songs.

Beeswing

As we get older we realize that time is short and there is still a lot to see in the world. Wanderlust. I'm guilty. We will head back to the studio at Cheyenne Crossing in the Black Hills in May of 2020.

I will miss my adopted family here in the hills!

I lived on the road full time many years ago. Lasted almost 14 years as a gypsy artist. It was always in the back of my mind to hit the road again. As a working artist the sacrifices you make to do what you love almost always involve money. Live a simple life and then you can afford to do what you love.

So what's the plan? We will leave the hills in a couple of weeks and head south to New Mexico first. I have two amazing grandkids to see! Then to Silver City to do a pop up gallery for the holidays and of course to visit with my other family. After that..... who knows! We have had lots of great invitations to visit Arizona and Texas. I am looking for venues to do pop up galleries this winter and spring so if you have any ideas or would like to host me please let me know!

Im looking forward to being out in the middle of nowhere for a bit. To create and have some quiet time. I love those long endless walks in the desert.

I have a huge list of special orders to do from this summer. My adventure in leather has been a huge success! I made 32 leather tops last winter and sold them all with special requests for different styles.

Another winter project will be Bella Blue Botanicals. After years of making my own body cream and face oil I've decided to market it. All organic or wild crafted ingredients. Very excited. My friend Bryan Burton has graciously agreed to let me use this painting of Bella he gave me last year for my logo.

I've also been working on new hats as well as jewelry. There are lots of new listings on my shop at ginnywolfstudio.com. No leather right now. That will be a few months in the making.

It was a great summer in the hills. I met so many great people. Cheyenne Crossing started as a stage coach stop between Deadwood and Cheyenne. It still is. I meet people from all over the world.

I hope life has treated you well these past few months. Writing these posts always feels like I'm catching up with old friends. Keep in touch my friends and if I run into you on the road what a wonderful thing that will be!

Here's a couple of songs for the road!
