Be Here Now

I would say that the thrust of my life has been initially about getting free, and then realizing that my freedom is not independent of everybody else. Then I am arriving at that circle where one works on oneself as a gift to other people so that one doesn't create more suffering. I help people as a work on myself and I work on myself to help people.

~ Ram Dass

We lost a beautiful being this past week. Ram Dass was one of my favorite humans. He dedicated his life to love and teaching. I know he is happy now as ever. If you have time this is a wonderful lecture he did.

We've been traveling quite a bit these past weeks. Mostly in New Mexico. Many great adventures. This past week my family took me to see Meow Wolf in Santa Fe. If you have not been or have never heard of it..... Oh My!!!!! What a wonderful place!

Meow Wolf is an art collective based in Santa Fe New Mexico. It is a magical place where everything you see or touch can transform into something else. Its an interactive art gallery that encourages you to be a part of it. To touch and feel art everywhere you turn. It blows apart any thought of art galleries being boring or uptight!

Its even better if you can go with a 4 year old! I would have loved to take a series of photos of peoples faces. Pure joy! You walk into Meow Wolf and climb thru a fire place and enter a world made of everything you can imagine. Alice in Wonderland comes to mind. You can find out more at meowwolf.com

Its been awhile since I have lived on the road so there has been an adjustment. I'm not able to work any time I want, which is good in some ways as I tend to work too much sometimes. Learning to slow down and as Ram Dass teaches Be Here Now.

We moved over to Arizona from New Mexico yesterday. Its our very slow journey north. We've been boon docking a bit and staying at various RV and state parks. I tend to like boon docking the best, although appreciate hot showers when we get them.

I wondered how the traveling would effect my creative flow but seems like no matter where we go I have new ideas and bring them to life.

Long walks, writing in my journals, cooking, creating, yes its a good life. My life at Cheyenne Crossing is so social its been nice to have days of solitude.

Wifi is sporadic so my blog posts tend to not be as often. I can post from my phone sort of but it doesn't allow for all the music videos I like to post. As I said its a learning curve and I suppose Ill get better at this traveling game as I go.

The first time I went full time on the road it was a very different world. There were no cell phones or even computers, for me anyway. There were lots of places to camp for free. Even on the coast! Not that many people my age were doing it back then.

Now days there are a lot more people living on the road. Families, young people. Its way more affordable to the average person and if you like adventure its everywhere!

For instance on one of my walks in the desert Bella and I met this fine fellow. There were two actually just sitting there watching us. Wonderful!

Before I go there are a few videos I want to share. This first one I found by chance while surfing YouTube. Gennady Tkachenko

His beautiful voice touched my heart. Magic!

One more before I go. Ain't No Sunshine ~ Matt Anderson

Well, I guess that's it for this time. Please be sure to check out my website store on www.ginnywolfstudio.com.

I've added some new works.

Happy New Year my friends. I hope to see you on the road. One more from Ram Dass .

You are loved just for being who you are, just for existing. You don’t have to do anything to earn it. Your shortcomings, your lack of self-esteem, physical perfection, or social and economic success – none of that matters. No one can take this love away from you, and it will always be here.
